VAA 2008-2009 State Champion Auctioneer - Kelly Strauss

31st Virginia State Champion Auctioneer Contest Won by Kelly Strauss

An outstanding assembly of Virginia Auctioneers vied for the title of the 31st Virginia State Champion Auctioneer on Saturday night, August 2, 2008 at the N&W Salvage Auction Warehouse in Sandston, VA. A huge crowd of on-lookers and bidders was assembled to see who would win the title and to partake in a delicious barbecue meal provided by George Daniel and his staff.

This year's title was won by Kelly Strauss of King George, Va.

  • Second Place and Runner-Up – W. O. "Dubby" Isgett, Quinton, VA
  • Third Place –  Shawn Rutz, Maurertown, VA
  • Fourth Place – Hunter Raines, Fredericksburg, VA
  • Fifth Place -  Mark Craig, Bridgewater, VA
  • Sixth Place – Taylor Linkous, Blacksburg, VA
